Introducing Corban Gabriela - Filly born Jan 2014

Bibiana HGF blessed us with a healthy beautiful filly, Corban Gabriela, on January 14th 2014.
Gabriela is by our foundation stallion, Gotico Park Escamillo, and she is the first one to be bred from this pairing. We are very pleased with the result.

Bibiana HGF is by the former successful Grand Prix dressage PRE Cosaco XI and out of a Yeguada Marin Garcia mare, who has the same champion bloodlines as many of Hampton Green Farm's PRE dressage stars, including Olympian Grandioso III.

Corban Gabriela is a tall, well conformed, filly with a stunning suspended trot and an in-your-pocket temperment. She promises to have a lovely head and neck not unlike her mother's, and has all the makings of a super riding or breeding prospect. Commanding flying changes with ease at less than 2 weeks old, her dam's movement bloodlines are evident.

Possibly for sale to the right home. Please contact us if you are interested.

Habanero XLI scores again

Habanero XLI did a splendid job once again at the UK PRE National Championships 2013, winning the FEI Prix St Georges class with Amy Stovold. Habanero made history in 2012 with the highest score achieved by a PRE at UK National Championship level, 69.96%, at the UK British Dressage National Winter Championships, placing 7th in the very strong class.

Corban Iberians have imported some Habanero XLI semen and are planning to breed with him this coming season (2014/15). A multi national champion and one of a small number of black Qualified (Calificado) PREs in the world, he is trained to Grand Prix and competing at Inter I.

In mid-2013 we visited his owner Naomi Vance-Webb and were fortunate enough to see Habanero in training prior to the Nationals. We also met some of his lovely progeny at Naomi's and also at Amy McHugh's Jackass Mountain Ranch stud in the US.

We wish Naomi and Amy all the best in his continued training.

Another Corban PRE relative in professional hands

Santander HGF, a brother to both our Corban Distinguido and Bibiana HGF, was sold to Australian FEI professional rider Nicholas Fyffe in 2013. Nicholas trains with Robert Dover, a former US Olympic dressage rider, and also trains and competes Robert's young PRE stallion Fiero in the US.

Santander is by Bolero CXLVIII (Corban Distinguido's sire) and out of a Yeguada Marin Garcia mare Seductora XXXIII (Bibiana HGF's dam).

Nicholas reported that 3 year old Santander is developing "so well under saddle. Every day he becomes more balanced and elastic and a better temperament I could not wish for. Santander HGF is incredibly balanced ..... Although still just three years old, this horse has an incredible maturity and steadiness of character that can't be trained. I am a very proud owner!"

Nicholas has very recently sold Santander, reluctantly, to another professional rider, Valerie Noblet, due to purchasing another HGF horse from Robert Dover. He noted that Santander had an amazing character and a bright future. We wish Valerie all the best for the future with her new stallion.

First Ever PRE Born from Frozen Semen in NZ

Corban Iberians were excited to announce the arrival of Corban Filósofo, the first ever PRE born in NZ from frozen semen from overseas, in January 2013. Corban Filósofo is currently the only progeny in Australasia by the top class Qualified PRE from Spain, Dominante XXIX.

Dominante XXIX was the first Qualified stallion to be imported to the US and has proven to be a very influential and successful progenator for the PRE there, siring champion offspring. He is a two times US National Celebration Show Champion, and one year also won Overall Champion of Functionality. His successful dressage career to date includes numerous Regional Championships, horse of the year awards, and at FEI Intermediare I he ranked 10th in the US in 2011 (Intermediare I and Inter I freestyle combined). He took the GAIG/USDF Region 5 Championship  title in Scottsdale, Ar.,US in 2011. Currently he is training Grand Prix with professional trainer/coach Margo Gogan, a multi USDF medalist.

We purchased Dominante XXIX semen from Richard Nickerson of Snowy Peaks Ranch in 2011, and are very impressed with our first foal by him out of Hanna Galantera.Corban Filósofo is an impressive colt - strong, tall and very correct PRE colt with ample bone, and a super temperment. A fantastic future PRE stallion prospect.
